Rich has litigated many types of tort and contract cases, including bodily injury, property damage, insurance coverage, and construction defect. He has handled legally and technically complex cases involving serious injuries and substantial damages, at trial and on appeal. He has particular experience in defending construction defect claims and professional negligence claims against architect, engineers and attorneys.

In his appellate work, Rich has been involved in a number of significant and precedential matters and is a zealous appellate advocate. In Mautz v. J. P. Patti Co., he obtained a decision interpreting the AIA standard indemnity clause. Also, in Liberty Village Assocs. V. West Am. Ins. Co., he obtained a decision interpreting the standard premises additional insured endorsement.

Rich is well-versed in preparing coverage opinions. He also acts as an arbitrator for the Superior Court of New Jersey arbitration program.
