Over nearly two decades, Mr. McNamara has practiced before more than one hundred judges in four separate states, at both the state and federal level. He has first chaired his own trials, second chaired others, and argued his own appeals.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. McNamara defended the NYPD in civil rights cases, and major hospital chains in medical malpractice cases. He specialized in birth trauma. He practiced plaintiff-side personal injury law, and defended workers’ compensation cases. He ran his own criminal and family law practice, and handled over 500 cases as a sole practitioner at both the trial and appellate level.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Mr. McNamara was a Graduate Intern / Budget Analyst with the New York State Assembly’s Ways and Means Committee. He assisted with quantitative political science research. And he served in the La Sallian Volunteers, an international organization affiliated with the De La Salle Christian Brothers, in their mission to care for the poor around the world.
